Our sound files

See and hear the actual cymbal you're buying

All the sound files (and pictures) on our website show the actual cymbal for sale. We never use manufacturers demos, generic recordings, or the sound file of an identical cymbal we've had in stock. So the cymbal you see and hear is always the actual cymbal you'll receive.

Hear the real sound of each cymbal.

We don't use EQ, compression, filters, plug-ins, or sound processing of any kind in our recordings. We want our sound files to be as close as possible to you playing the cymbals yourself, so we don't add or take anything away from the raw acoustic recordings. This allows you to hear the real sound of every cymbal.

Listen to consistent sound recordings.

Comparing cymbals recorded by different drummers is problematic because each one will hit the cymbal differently and get a different sound out of it. So at Cymbal Junkie all our sound files are recorded by the same drummer. Having complete consistency across all the sound files allows you to make accurate and meaningful comparisons between the cymbals.

If you're buying 2 or more cymbals and want to be sure they work together we'll make a custom sound file just for you. Use our sound files to choose the cymbals you like, then CONTACT US and we'll make you a recording of those exact cymbals played together. So you can always get perfectly matched and balanced cymbals, whether you want 2 or a complete cymbal set.
